Steps To Success

Step 1: Discovery - Let’s talk...
Contact Brian with an explanation of what you’re looking for along with any questions you may have. Brian offers a free 30 minutes interview to discover if he might be of service to you.

What you can expect at the end of this step: The ability to decide if you want to proceed. If you decide to work with Brian, you will receive his Web Site Planner which will be a compass for the direction of your web site. Once he receives your completed planner, he will review it thoroughly within four business days (usually sooner).

Step 2: After further review...
Based on your web site planner answers, Brian will create a custom project proposal for you. This can take anywhere from 2-5 business days. The proposal will contain a cost estimate range.

It is important to note that the cost estimate range in your proposal is not a quote. Contracting for a custom web site is not like ordering a burger at the drive-thru, there’s not a set price. Every client and project is unique, my project work is based on my hourly rates. What you receive is a professional service that is the combination of my creativity, knowledge, expertise, time, and problem-solving skills.

What you can expect at the end of this step: A customized proposal focused on your unique goals and desires for your site, including an idea of the cost you’ll need to budget to meet your goals.

Step 3: Ready to get started...
Once you approve the proposal and Brian receives the signed agreement along with the initial project payment (usually 50% of the estimated cost), the creation of your web site begins.

What you can expect at the end of this step: The confidence that your web site is in good hands and is now underway!

Step 4: Getting it together...
At this point it’s time for a design consultation. Information is gathered from you regarding your thoughts, wishes, likes, and dislikes along with details from the Web Site Planner you filled out earlier. You will be sent a request for any existing assets or content that you may have for your site. Brian takes this information and develops a site structure outline for you and begins the comprehensive design layouts.

If you need assistance with hosting and domain name registration, Brian will register or manage your domain name and set up and activate your hosting account.

What you can expect at the end of this step: An outline of your sites structure and comprehensive layout(s) of what your web site will look like. Your domain name will be registered and hosting will be set up.

Step 5: Tweaks and approval...
Based on your feedback or approval on the design options, Brian will either tweak the design(s) or move to the next step.

What you can expect at the end of this step: A beautiful site design that you are pleased with.

Step 6: Making it work...
Now it’s time to bring life to the design that you’ve approved. The coding and programming of your web site is now at hand. Not only will your web site look good, but now it will WOW your visitors with how well it works!

During this stage of the process you’ll be provided with updates, asked any clarrifying questions, and given an occasional sneak peak at how things are coming along.

What you can expect at the end of this step: Some personal time, because Brian will be locked in a small dark room with a computer and a steady flow of coffee to keep him going.

Step 7: Test and tweak time...
Once the coding of your web site is complete, You will be asked to go through the beta site and let Brian know of any tweaks or changes you’d like to make. If any errors or omissions exist on his part, he will of course fix them immediately at no cost to you.

What you can expect at the end of this step: A functioning beta site and the knowledge that your site is going to launch world wide very soon!

Step 8: Welcome to the world wide web...
Once final payment for the completed work has been received, your site will be launched! You’re happy and all’s well on the world wide web.

What you can expect at the end of this step: Your very own beautiful, fantastic, chunk of the world wide web.

Step 9: Reap even more benefits...
Brian is so confident that you will be completely satisfied with the service and end product that he provides for you, he will ask you to refer him to your friends, family and associates who might benefit from his services in the future.

What you can expect at the end of this step: You will experience satisfaction in knowing you have referred a great service. Your friends, family and associates will show great appreciation to you for sharing a great service with them. Maybe more importantly, you will receive discount pricing on future services based on the number of referrals who become new clients.
